Impeachment

Not Necessarily the Good News

Not Necessarily the Good News

On December 18. 2019 the House of Representatives approved articles of impeachment on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. During the hearings, Congressman Barry Loudermilk, representative of Georgia’s 11th district, made the following claim:

“When Jesus was falsely accused of treason, Pontius Pilate gave Jesus the opportunity to face his accusers,” said Loudermilk, who represents Georgia’s 11th congressional district. “During that sham trial, Pontius Pilate afforded more rights to Jesus than the Democrats have afforded this President in this process.”

On today’s episode, we will discuss why and how this is a false and asinine comparison.
